MDHA 90th ANNIVERSARY
1923 - 2013
savedate90
Logo designed by Deb Zelkowski, RDH
Dental hygienists in Michigan have much to be grateful for as we celebrate our 90th Anniversary. We can reflect on the foresight of nine dental hygienists who established the Michigan Dental Hygienists’ Association in Detroit in 1923. The vision of those founding members and the actions taken by them provided the groundwork for rest of us who have followed them. MDHA has continued to protect and to advance the scope of practice that we enjoy today. The growth of the profession of dental hygiene in Michigan is a direct result of the actions taken by the Michigan Dental Hygienists’ Association on behalf of all dental hygienists in Michigan. This year is a great time to look back at our many accomplishments and to look forward to the possibilities that will open up for dental hygiene in the future. Celebrate our 90th Anniversary by joining or renewing your membership in ADHA as we acknowledge what has been accomplished for us by our professional associations. The anniversary will be celebrated at the MDHA House of Delegates in Lansing, Michigan on October 18 -20, 2013. Consider this an invitation to join us at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing on October 18, 2013 for continuing education courses and a welcome reception and the opportunity to thank many of the past presidents who will be attending, for their vision and dedication. Respectfully submitted, Linda Plunkett, RDH, BS MDHA Historian jplunkett@twmi.rr.com
