There has been a change to the Administrative code for Dentistry. This is the change in the code that affects dental hygienists. It allows a dental hygienist or dental assistant to receive continuing education credits for volunteering. Legislative Alert 11/2014

Since 2010, the Chicago Community Oral Health Forum (CCOHF) and the Wrigley Company Foundation have collaborated to bring oral health education and health promotion in the Chicago Public Schools (CPS).  The local reach of program has been tremendous.  The Wrigley Company Foundation and CCOHF would like to share in the success with other mid-sized cities with significant need for oral health education and promotion programming in a public school setting to students, teachers and parents. Autumn signals many events, harvest time, the first day of school, football, and the Michigan Dental Hygienists’ annual House of Delegates.  Last year we celebrated our 90th anniversary.  We have entered the last decade of our first one hundred years.   We need to make it count.    My theme for this year was “Frame Your Future and Together Lets Frame the Future of the Michigan Dental Hygienists’ Association”.
