Contemporary Orthodontic Diagnosis, Treatment Timing, and Techniques

COURSE DESCRIPTION
-Modern understanding of physiologic tooth movement and how it affects orthodontic appliances and treatment techniques
-Technological advances in digitized and customized orthodontics and how they serve to increase treatment effectiveness and efficiency and improve the overall orthodontic experience.
-Treatment timing and early orthodontic intervention – what, when, and why?
-How the general dental practitioner may enhance and expand patient care by monitoring deciduous tooth exfoliation and permanent tooth eruption
-Space maintenance appliances – helping to decrease dental crowding and reduce the need for future extractions in conjunction with comprehensive orthodontic treatment.
