Gingival recession is an everyday occurrence in our dental practices, but management of recession can be confusing. We will cover etiologies of gingival recession and what factors we can used to determine when recession should be treated or when it is appropriate to cautiously observe. Surgical gingival grafting options will also be reviewed. As dental implants have become a common method for replacing teeth, it is important for us to inform our patients on the best practices for maintain these implants. We will review in-office and homecare techniques and tips for maintaining healthy peri-implant tissues.
