This program will provide a brief overview of the 2017 AAP/EFP World Workshop Classification for Periodontal and Peri-Implant Diseases and Conditions, with a focus on diagnosis and treatment of Molar/Incisor Pattern Grade C (formerly known as aggressive periodontitis) using clinical cases.

Course objectives:

·       Discuss the most updated periodontal and peri-implant classification, including “Grey Zone” areas 

·       Learn primary and secondary features of Molar/Incisor Pattern Grade C periodontitis (MIP-C)

·       Identify diagnostic approaches and treatment options for MIP-C patients based on the existing classification

·       Discuss case presentations of non-surgical and surgical management, and future directions 

About the Speaker

About the Speaker … Sandra Stuhr, DMD, MS is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, which is her area of clinical practice. Her research publications involve soft tissue biology and wound healing, dimensional changes after tooth extraction, and aggressive forms of periodontitis.
