Melva Baxter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of a beloved member of our MDHA family. Longtime Historian and Photographer for the MDHA, Melva Baxter, passed away on Thursday April 27, 2017. As a member of the MDHA for over sixty years, Melva served in several leadership capacities. Her dedication to her profession earned her numerous awards over the years. She was awarded Life Membership, the Frances Shook Award for lifetime achievement, and Dental Hygienist of the Year awards just to name a few. We all were better to have known our dear friend Melva.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 East Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823 with visitation at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow at the Coral Gables Restaurant. Please RSVP for the luncheon to Jane Reagan at janeellenreagan@gmail.com. The family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Michigan.
